NAMI Southeast Minnesota

We are a grassroots non-profit organization comprised of mental health consumers, family members, and professionals in our community who are dedicated to helping improve the lives of those affected by mental illness.

For people with mental illnesses, their families, friends, and caretakers, our organization strives to:

• Eliminate lack of education and understanding of mental illness to encourage those experiencing symptoms of mental illness to seek treatment;
• Combat the devastating effects of stigma by enlightening people with the realities of mental illness;
• Advocate for policies and practices that encourage the development of equitable, community-based mental health services; and
• Empower mental health consumers, families, and professionals by supporting active recovery in themselves, their loved ones, and the mental health care system in our community.
